tonight as i drove up to the stairs leading to the house i've been taking care of for a friend, i caught some movement of an animal as it disappeared behind a car in my head lights. a coyote. i parked my car on the opposite side of the street and as i sat in my car collecting my things and trying to catch a glimpse of where the coyote might have gone, i spot not one, not two, but three coyotes sitting on the steps directly where i am supposed to walk up to get to the house. troubling. as i pondered how i would go about calling animal control/some nearby friend to come with me up the stairs, they ran down single file and trotted up the street further into the little hills. amazing!!
